What is the dress code?

Formal attire requested! Ladies, the ceremony will be held outdoors on the vineyard lawn - block heels or wedges are recommended. Bring a light wrap or jacket to keep warm in the cooler evening air.

I want to make the most of this trip, what should I do?

Planning trips full of activities is one of our favorite things to do. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like recommendations! There are so many things to do in Portugal, from beaches, to museums - wine tastings to city exploring! We would love to help guide you towards an unforgettable experience in our favorite place.

How far is the venue from Lisbon airport?

Lisbon Airport is approximately 29 minutes from our amazing venue. Can rent a car, take a train to Ericeira, or uber!

Should I rent a car?

Optional! If you plan on traveling around the country before or after our wedding, we love exploring by car! We would recommend Enterprise. It is a super streamlined process and you can use the US based app! There is ample parking at the venue as well if you choose to drive to the welcome dinner/wedding.

Are there ubers?

Uber is really popular and affordable in Portugal! Though a little more difficult in smaller towns.

ATM to avoid

While on your European vacation, please note to avoid the "Euronet" ATMs that are widely found. They are yellow and blue and often have pretty insane fees associated with withdrawal. There are other options, as well as using card and bringing Euros from home.

Leaving Portugal and Customs

If you are departing from the Lisbon airport, be sure to leave enough time for customs and additional security. After initial security you will be in a food court / duty free section. There is another security section after! Many travelers miss their flight because this is not commonly known. There are more food and shopping options after second security.

What is Republic Day?

October 5th is the commemoration of the 1910 revolution that overthrew the monarchy and establish the first Portugese republic. Banks, office and some small shops and restaurants will be closed the Monday before the wedding. There will be free entry to some museums and historical sites!
